Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

Emerge is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the Supply Chain Manager role in Winsted, CT. Our client, a dynamic and growing manufacturer of high-quality products, is looking for someone to oversee and optimize their supply chain operations, including production planning/master scheduling, demand planning, supplier coordination, inventory management, and process improvement initiatives. The position offers a competitive salary of up $120,000 - $140,000 annually, plus a 10% bonus, excellent benefits, and the chance to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Manager job located in Winsted, CT:

  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations, tracking discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Partner closely with Production Planning to align manufacturing resource planning (MRP) activities with sales objectives, ensuring 100% on-time delivery to customers.
  • Manage MRP database accuracy and maintain robust data integrity for all materials-related activities.
  • Drive the implementation of automated tools and systems for tracking material flow, from procurement to final delivery, aligning with the company’s supply chain strategy.
  • Develop and enforce material management policies that align with corporate inventory control goals.
  • Collaborate with divisional teams to streamline purchasing and supplier management processes.
  • Lead initiatives to improve supplier engagement, such as supplier-managed inventory programs and consolidated purchasing agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements related to supply chain processes.
  • Oversee the department's budget, keeping expenditures within set guidelines.
  • Lead cost-reduction programs that enhance procurement and material flow efficiency.
  • Foster the growth and development of the materials team, offering clear guidance and support.
  • Promote lean manufacturing principles, including the use of Kanban and materials planning techniques, while driving continuous improvement projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with at least 5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing setting and 2+ years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, project management, and Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience in materials management, supplier coordination, and demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
  • Must comply with ITAR regulations (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
